Provo Comp Fees

I forgot to remind you that you will have to pay general admission on Friday. General admission is $5per person each day. I have taken care of all other fees for Friday.  If you have any questions please let me know.  I will see you all at Provo High School tomorrow at 6pm!!

Provo Competition

• The Provo comp is this Friday, Feb. 28th.  Doors open at 6pm

• The team needs to meet at Provo High School at 6pm.  I will take roll right at 6pm.  Please wear team shirts and warm-ups if you have them - we want to look like a team! 

• Ladies need to have hair and make-up done before meeting at Provo High School.  Hair needs to have a straight part (on either side) and be slicked back into a low bun.  Slicked back means lots of gel - no frizzes or flyaways.  Full make-up, including eyelashes.

• Gentlemen need to have hair gelled and be clean shaven.

•  We are entered in the smooth/ballroom category which is scheduled for 7pm, and we are also entered in the latin/rhythm category which which is scheduled for 8pm. The schedule is posted on www.utahballroom.org if you are competing individual events on Sat.

Txtwire

I activated txtwire for the team. You should get messages from me only through txtwire, and only if you marked the text box on our phone list that is in our team books. If there is a problem and you don't want or want the team text messages please let me know.

Team Match Changes

Hopefully you're all used to me changing my mind by now  :)

I will only be able to work with three couples on Saturday instead of six. Cha Cha will be at 7AM, Samba will be at 8AM, and Quickstep will be at 9AM.  I have also decided to change the Quickstep and Tango couples up a bit. (don't be mad at me)  Jerrick and Michelle will be doing Tango, and David and Brooke will be doing Quickstep.  I will have to schedule another time to finish the other three dances.

Here's the team match couples with the changes just in case you forgot:

Cha Cha - Matt C and Katrina

Samba - Brayden and Kacie

Quickstep - David and Brooke

Tango - Jerrick and Michelle

Swing - Jastin and Cassandra / Kandrie

Waltz - Edward and Courtney

Don't forget we have Mon. practice Jan. 24th at 1:30 in the rec center dance room.  The Provo comp. is on Friday Jan. 28th and I will post times and the schedule as soon as I get it. 

Announcements

GRADES - are updated!! Unless you contact me about mistakes etc. these will be the grades that post to your report cards.  If you see a problem please let me know.

Competition Change - the Gem State style comp that was scheduled for the 4th and 5th of Feb. has been canceled.  Please make a note of this and plan ahead of time to make sure you compete in two comps this semester.

Don't forget that you will be trying out for team match positions Jan. 19th!!  If you are put in team match you will need to be available for choreography the following Sat. morning, Jan. 22nd.  I will give you details in class on the 19th.  See you all soon!

Welcome Back!

I hope you all had a relaxing break, and are ready to come back to school to work hard for the sub.  Be on your BEST behavior!!

Just so you all know, I had my baby Dec. 26th at 2:28am.  She was 7lbs 2oz and we named her Kimberly.
